These terms apply when you use the My Plan Japan website or order a custom itinerary from us. By using the site or placing an order, you agree to them. My Plan Japan is a registered business name of a sole trader based in Melbourne, Australia. You can reach us at [email protected].

What we do

My Plan Japan sells custom trip planning for Japan. You tell us about your trip. We research and prepare a personalised itinerary and deliver it to you. Depending on the package you choose, delivery may include an online itinerary, a PDF, maps, and supporting guides.

What we are not

We are a planning service, not a travel agency. We do not sell or book flights, accommodation, tours, or tickets, and we are not a party to any booking you make with a third party. Bookings you make with hotels, airlines, tour operators, or booking platforms are contracts between you and them, on their terms.

Ordering and payment

You can start with a free consultation or purchase a package directly. Prices are listed on the site in Australian dollars (AUD) and may change at any time. The price that applies is the one shown when you order. Payment is processed by Square. Work on your itinerary begins after payment is received and you have provided the trip details we ask for. If we have not received your trip details within 60 days of payment, we will email you. If we still have not heard from you 30 days after that, we will cancel the order and refund you in full.

Delivery

Basic itineraries are delivered within 6 days, Standard within 10 days and Premium within 18 days of receiving both your payment and your completed trip details. Extra itinerary days added at checkout add 1 day to the delivery time for every 2 days added, rounded up. Priority turnaround cuts the delivery time by a third, rounded up to a whole day, so Basic is delivered within 4 days, Standard within 7 days and Premium within 12 days. If we cannot meet the delivery date, we will tell you before it passes and you may cancel for a full refund.

Revisions

We want the itinerary to be right. If you would like changes, tell us within 3 days of delivery and we will adjust it with you, within the scope of your package. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law, including consumer guarantees that services be provided with due care and skill.

Cancelling your order

You can cancel at any time before we deliver your itinerary, for any reason. Email [email protected] with your order reference, or use the cancellation form below.

If we have not started work, we refund everything. If we have started, we keep a share of the price for the work done by the day you tell us and refund the rest. If we are researching your trip, we keep 30%. If your draft itinerary is built, we keep 70%.

Once your itinerary has been delivered in full, the order is complete and can no longer be cancelled. If anything in it is wrong, tell us and we will fix it.

We refund within 14 days of hearing from you, to the card or account you paid with.

Your responsibilities

• Give us accurate trip details: dates, party size, budget, and any requirements that matter to you.
• Check practical details before you rely on them. Opening hours, prices, timetables, and entry requirements in Japan change. We prepare itineraries carefully, but third parties control these things and can change them after delivery.
• Arrange your own bookings, travel insurance, visas, and other travel documents.

Accuracy of information

We take care to keep itineraries and site content accurate at the time of writing, but we cannot guarantee that third party information (such as prices, schedules, or availability) will remain correct. Content on this site is general information, not personal advice about safety, health, visas, or legal matters. Our free planning tools are provided as available: we work to keep them running and accurate but do not promise they will be uninterrupted or error free. Nothing in this paragraph limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

Your itinerary and our content

When we deliver your itinerary, you get a personal, noncommercial licence to use it for your trip and to share it freely with your travel companions. Please do not resell it or republish it commercially. All other content on this site belongs to My Plan Japan and may not be reproduced without permission.

Accounts

Accounts and purchases are for adults. If you are under 18, use the site with a parent or guardian, and any purchase must be made by an adult.

If you create an account, keep your login details secure. You are responsible for activity under your account. To close and delete your account, email [email protected] from the account's email address. See our privacy policy for what happens to your data. We may suspend or close accounts used to abuse the site or the free planning tools.

Content you create in the planner

Itineraries and trips you build with our free planning tools are yours. You give us permission to store and display them so the service works, including showing a shared itinerary to anyone who has its share link. Do not use the planner to store content that is unlawful, infringing, or abusive. We may remove such content and close the account involved.

Google Maps

Our planning tools include Google Maps features and content, such as place search, maps, photos and ratings. Your use of these features and content is subject to the current Google Maps/Google Earth Additional Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy. Google Maps content belongs to Google and its licensors, not to My Plan Japan.

Acceptable use

Use the site lawfully and as a human being planning travel. Do not scrape or bulk copy the site, access it with bots or automated tools, probe or disrupt its infrastructure, upload malicious code, or resell or repackage the free tools. We may suspend access where this happens.

Links to other sites

Our site links to other websites, including booking partners, transport operators and official tourism pages. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content, availability or prices. Anything you book or buy there is between you and that business, on their terms.

Affiliate links

Some outbound links are affiliate links. They cost you nothing extra and do not shape our recommendations. See our affiliate disclosure.

Liability

We are responsible for the itinerary we prepare for you. We are not responsible for the acts of hotels, transport operators, tour providers or booking platforms, or for changes they make after we deliver, unless we failed to take due care in what we told you. We are not responsible for loss that was not reasonably foreseeable when you ordered. Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or changes any right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law or any other law that cannot be excluded.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version on this page, with the date at the top, is the one that applies. Changes do not affect orders already placed. If any part of these terms turns out to be unenforceable, the rest still applies. These terms, the package details shown when you ordered and our privacy policy are the whole agreement between us.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia.

If you live outside Australia, you also keep any consumer rights the law of your country gives you that cannot be excluded by agreement.
